Tress
Last updated 14 September 2026
Tress keeps your photographs and everything else you record on your own device. This policy describes what that means in practice.
Nothing. Tress has no account, no sign-in and no server. We cannot see your data because it is never sent to us.
Your photographs, routine, journal and answers are stored in the app’s private storage on this device, and are included in your device backup if you have one turned on. Deleting the app deletes them.
Photos you take in the app are written straight to that private storage. They are not uploaded, not analysed, and not shared with anyone. They are not added to your camera roll unless you save one yourself.
None. Tress does not send your photographs or anything else to an AI service. It does not assess your hair, diagnose anything, or generate advice — it stores what you record and shows it back to you.
None. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier and no third-party tracker in this app.
The camera, to take your progress photos. Your photo library, only if you choose a picture for your card. Face ID or your passcode, only if you turn on the app lock. Notifications, only if you turn on reminders. Each is asked for at the moment you first use it, and the app works without any of them.
Only when you ask. Saving or sharing your card hands that one image to the iOS share sheet, and where it goes from there is your choice.
Settings has "Delete all my data", which permanently removes every photograph, entry and setting from this device. There is no copy anywhere else for us to delete.
Tress is not directed at children under 13.
