Delete your Tress account

Tress, by Arslan Ahmad

In the app

Open Tress, tap the gear for Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account and data (or Delete all my data on a version without backup), then confirm. This deletes your journey, photographs, routine, check-ins, notes and answers from the phone, and — where you have a Tress backup — your record and photographs in the backup and the account they were kept under, with any Apple, Google or email sign-in attached to it.

Without the app

Email support@tresshaircare.com with the subject “Delete my Tress account”, from the email address you saved your progress with. If you saved it with Apple’s hidden email, write from your Apple ID’s address and say so. We confirm the request with that address, delete the account, its record and its photographs, and write back when it is done.

What is deleted, and what is not

Deleted: the account, and everything kept in your Tress backup under it — your profile, answers, scans and their readings, routine and its history, check-ins, journal notes, products, hair guide and backed-up photographs. Not kept by us to begin with: the scan frames, answers and messages sent to be read by Google’s Gemini API, which our server passes on without storing. Not reached by this: what is still on a phone that has the app (delete it there), a backup your phone made itself, and a subscription, which is billed and cancelled in your App Store or Google Play account. On iPhone or Android, if you opened the subscription screen, our subscription provider holds a purchase record against a random identifier for the install; ask in the same email and we will help you have it deleted. A report you sent about something the AI wrote carries no identifier, so it is not tied to your account; tell us what it said and roughly when, and we will look for it and delete it.
